The Most Drought-Tolerant Waterwise Flowers – Flowering Perennials for Utah

Here is a list of plants that will do very well in the hot summers of Utah. They won’t need any water during the spring or fall. They will only need a good soaking once every 7 or 10 days from the end of June through the end of August.
Of course there are many more waterwise flowering plants that can be used for a colorful xeric planting. I chose these for this list because they are usually available at local nurseries and they are top performers for adding color to the summer flower garden.

Echinacea purpurea- Purple Coneflower
Perovskia atriplicifolia – Russian Sage
